How you think of people who create blog to attract attention/to gain fame?

Are these people mis-using the purpose of blogging?

when bloggers blog to please readers, is it like defeats the purpose of blogging?

Blogs should be personal?

To me, blogs are not solely just a personal diary. It true that I blog for readers, for attention. But I feel it issn't mis-using the purpose of blogging. Blogging comes in so many different forms. Blogs are like a shortcut to websites, a easy way of publishing what you want to blog online.

Mis-using of blogs to gain fame? I feel that when there's demands, there will be supplies. It not easy to get the attention through so many bloggers out there. So if I make it, I feel the achievement.

I think blog's initiated purpose is like a dairy or journal, where you can write about your feelings and displeased. The only difference is that its published online and everyone could read it. Thus, we need to take responsibilities of our words used.

There are cases where race or religion issues are discussed, the bloggers got too much attention and jailed as a result. A little hoo haa on the 'freedom of speech'...Rest ensure it wont happen...i am convince there isnt such thing as freedom of speech.

I guess true blogger need substance if he/she wanna grab attention..Our most famous blogger 'Xia Xue', blog her way into showbiz, but really, she is juz an ordinary lady...nothing impressive I would say.

(True lasting attention in my opinon is not blog craps, gossips or sexual content...but real value in terms of "what you want your readers to take away".)

If most ppl still thinks that blogging is personal, then here is something they need to know..."What you said on the blog is direct reflection of who you really are"....

Blogs are interesting to read if the bloggers give an interesting twist to what can be a boring day. They usually are good in expressing themselves in words and without appearing self-depreciating, their humility or their wittiness attract people to log into their blogs again and again. As blogs usually contains a daily/weekly/monthly or erratic days' events in the bloggers' lives, GOOD pictures do play a large part in making their blogs more attractive, more colorful and more personalized.

It all depends on how one classifies ' drawing attention to self' via blogs. Attention via word-of-mouth (friends telling friends telling friends) can develop into a huge volume of visitors per day for the blogger IF his/her blog contains either outrageous or super duper humorous writing.

The only lament I have of blogs is that the backgrounds of many homepage of blogs are so colorful, it is impossible to read any words posted! Poor English is also very tiring to read - disjointed sentences, poor grammar, spelling errors,etc usually piss people off from such blogs, after a while...... :handsup:

It is not the place, nor the condition, but the mind alone that can make anyone happy or miserable.

i think some pple use dis as a way to gain fame.. but some r not....

some juz nid a place to write down all their anger, happiness, sadness.. n bla bla..
n some tym.. when we really really hated someone, we put it online, hoping dat person will c n change...

erm.. some people do blog for the sake of getting noticed and gain fame.. whereas some are not..

it depends.. the functions are just like a diary, the only difference is tat it is publish online.. lotsa ppl can see..

i feel tat blogging is a great way to express ur feelings/emotions...
