On a visit to the cinema with two girlfriends, Tina Kilford settled down with a tub of ice cream and waited for the trailers to finish.
After a scene of waves crashing on a beach, a familiar figure appeared on the screen - her boyfriend Tom Lane in a dinner suit.
He held up a series of 22 placards which began: 'Hi Tina' and concluded with the messages: 'Will you marry me?' and 'Look behind you'.
Mr Lane, 39, then appeared, got down on one knee and offered her an engagement ring. The audience duly erupted into cheers and applause when 36-year-old Miss Kilford said Yes.

to fall in love is always easy
to start a relationship is always simple
to build it, is always tough
to maintain it, is 'better said than done'
to break off, is 'easier said than done'
to remain friends after u broke off, is never possible
to forget the memories is 'always doing but never succeeding'
to heal the pain within is hard and tough and never near simple
but one has to try to heal your own heart...

i think in this kind of situation.. most gals wont reject.. must give the guy face ma... if really not ready for marriage... can tell him afterwards to save him from embrassement.. I can recall one distinctive one whereby the guy paid for his message to his gf ' Joanne, will you marry me?' be flashed in the animation advertising board besides Lido Theatre some years ago on Valentine Day. Of course, he engineered the message to be flashed at a specific time when he took his gf for a stroll along the pedestrian walk opposite the board. Nobody really noticed until the girl let off a scream of excitement. Then kaypoh bystanders (me included) watched the guy went down on his knees and gave her a tiny box (ring inside). She was like giggling bashfully and only a few tourists clapped. Show over. | |
