The Slingers won 104 to 96 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Wednesday night. The Dragons - from Melbourne, Australia - raced out of the blocks to forge a 32-18 lead at the first break, but the hosts hit back in the second quarter, turning a 14-point deficit into a five-point lead at half-time. Number 35 Marquin Chandler starred for Singapore with 32 points and nine rebounds. The home side stretched their lead after the break and survived a late comeback by the Dragons to hold on for the victory. The win leaves the Slingers in eighth place in the table.
