Default Avoid These few Companies !! Scam Companies !!

Okie,

One person's effort is not enough, so if you guys have anymore to add it ... pls do so ..

This is from my own personal experiences when i was young, seeking for a job...
Now, i am happy that i have secured a lifetime good-paying job.... i have to thank my ancestors for that ...

Anyway, below are the Scams Jobs that are out there in Singapore, STILL lurking for victims to work for them...

1) Granton Marketing, DS-Max & Cydoor

Okie, these words seems like some spyware, but its not... its actually pricipal companies located in the States but there have regional offices everywhere. So whats so f**kup abt them.

No monthly pay... direct outdoor sales in shopping areas, selling dunno what membership to public, daily wage ( depending on your sales ) of around $30, working hrs 10hrs and more, working from Mon to Sat.
Every morning the boss will call everyone for a so-called singing session ( aka brain-wash session ) and i still remember they will shout the word " JUICE" which i dunno what is it...

I have worked for only 3 days there and done numberous research on them.
You guys can read more on this scam company here :
http://wolfram.org/scam/cydcor.html

2) Mutil-Level Marketing ( MLM )

Needless for me to say, this is like killing 1 million birds with one stone .... yes, it can be done and it is STILL being done now ... So if you think you can make it big in MLM, i rather you take your confidence with you and make it BIG elsewhere in the sales line... its safer for you ...

3) Time-Sharing ( holiday resorts worldwide )

This actually started with a survey outdoor or through telelphone, asking you to go to their office for a short presentation where you CAN get a free gift of maybe a watch or a flight ticket. Yes, you can get sometimes, but their motto is to let you sign the minimum $10K membership of buying a holiday resort somewhere ON THE SPOT, if not they will failed their mission. Its brute-force sales... the most despicable method out there used by losers. ...

4) Work from home ( online )

Okie,.... you get employed by these people to work from home, and you paid a sum to them ... then you are your own boss. ... how much you earn depends on how hardworking you are ... sounds logical ?? Well,.... no matter how hard you work.... you get paid peanuts, not enough to buy a small car, let alone paying for its petrol ...

there are more surely in Singapore ... i will update if i got the time .... but for teens and young workers outsde in this forum, i got a small advice i would like to share. ...

Pls do not respond to Ads online or newspaper that says : No qualifications needed, housewife and students welcome, we will train you to be manager or blah blah .....
And also for reputable companies, they will have websites and domain email addresses ,..... not those yyy@yahoo.com....

It has nothing to do with age. Then again, I guess I am too young.

The forum is to exchange points of view, so why the worry that it is pointless now?

Do you not have concrete proof/evidence that it is a scam?

If it is a scam, do you think that DSAS will be set up? Do you know that there is a Chapter 190 in the Statutes of Singapore? Do you know that in Msia, you need to apply for a licence to operate a MLM?

If it is a scam, do you think companies like Amway can survive for so long? I personally know someone who has been in MLM for the last 16 years.

maybe he put it in the wrong way
i've personally worked in a mlm b4
young and hot headed, but i couldn't get any sales
now that i'm older and i think back
its just the products that the mlm sells r not good
the concept is good but you still have to depend on the products.
eg. microsoft, citibank
these things are what people need, not what pple want
other mlm companies are selling what pple want, and not what they need.
which is why most pple can't sell their products out and regard it as a scam.

simply put, like what some SGC forumers have mentioned, MLM is just another business model. it's really up to the peeps who run the show that determine if it's worthy of praise or condemnation...

sadly speaking, imvho, due to the nature of the business model involved; the system gets abused...which accounts for all the bad publicity MLM gets.

btw, I'm neither pro nor against MLM. it just irks me to see the ignorant, young & hot-blooded trying to peddle some products (that r obviously overpriced) which they probably noe just as much as what they r being taught in a 30mins sales script session-with-da-boss. =/

I do believe there is nothing wrong with the business concept of MLM...coz think about it, its structure is the same as insurance. For insurance, you need to start from small and rise up and then start overriding your downline's commission. So I think the structure or the business model has nothing wrong with it.

What is wrong however is the people inside the system. I realize not everyone can fit into that industry. If you can't network, cant convince, cant sell, and you try to do it, you will find that it wont work....for you.

Another thing I guess affect the industry is qualification. Well, insurance agents need to take examination, need to get a license but in MLM, any Tom, Dick and Harry can just join. Without quality, the industry will suffer, simple as that.

The industry hasn't have a very good reputation right now, so I guess a major shake up should be done....

MLM is not a scam but it's rather unfair to the new people who join the company. The majority of them are part-timers who won't stay in the company very long, and end up selling perhaps one or two sets of products, mostly to their family/ friends. They keep 5% of the money and 95% goes to the company. Thus, the company gets 95% of the profit for doing absolutely nothing. I've been to a certain MLM company and they tried very very hard to brainwash me. My friend had joined the place and asked me to come for an "interview" without explaining what the hell the place was about. They have a weekly brainwashing session where they starting shouting and cheering for the company, and all the new people keep ranting about how great that place is even though they are wasting their time there. There are very few people above 25 in that place because nobody with working experience is STUPID enough to join. So yes, don't waste your time. Not to mention their products are simply bullshit and they just created some random things to scam idiots into trying to sell them.

From what I see, MLM is not really a scam but it is totally making use of humans' weaknesses... Those who are simple-minded enough will join in and encourage their friends & relatives to join in... The more people who join the more the company gains... In fact, if you do your calculations properly you are just making money out of your friends or relatives instead of helping them make money... I've been through a few of it and seen friends who got into such shits... They give people posts like Manager etc which sounds attractive but in fact is just nothing...

Just a question to all those in MLM, does it feels good to earn money from your friends or relatives?
