Hi all,

i am new to sgclub, so i decided to just dive right in and ask someone about my travel plans. From mid july to early aug i will be in Vienna, Austria.

I was wondering if anyone can recommend things to do, places to visit and other stuff. May even be outside of vienna...preferably nearby...haha

hopefully you all can help me out...thanks in advance...

hmmm... I went to Austria with my primary school choir long long ago~ It's a really interesting place. Totally different from Singapore.

Try going to mozart's house. =D and some very big palace museum. (can't recall the name)

It will be very warm during that period.

Maybe you also can visit the famous Spanish Riding School, Vienna Opera House, Schönbrunn Palace (for me, its quite boring though except for the phototaking with the horses) and try the Sachertorte in Sacher Hotel (the cafe can be very crowded, full of tourists).

Dont be fooled by those people (wearing Mozart costume) along the street asking you to purchase tickets to the concert at their grand hall. Most are scams, their so-call grand hall is only a small old hall at the dark alley. Its wiser to purchase the tickets from the ticket booth at the hall itself.

Just to let you know that the famous Mozart chocolate can be bought in our own Takashimaya, the price should be about the same unless you can get it further away from those touristy places.
