Default Re: Ask your bowling questions here!

I need suggestions.

I am a spinner, and currently using an 11-lb Ebonite Tornado. I have intention of getting a new bowling ball, and interested in either Brunswick or Ebonite. Anyone has good recommendation for a good high-end ball for spinners?

well depends on what type of a spinner u are....
ball speed
what type of reaction u want from the ball
always remember even if you are buying a high end ball,as long as its below 13lbs u wont be able to get the core inside cos its still will be the pan cake core so u are just buying it for the coverstock only

more like.... good pin actions.

i think my ball speed is quite normal; not fast nor slow. my spin is not those 'gao gao' one, low revolution.

how does the coverstock affects one's bowling game? which type of coverstock should i be going for? i'm thinking of the following:

1. Ebonite Total NV
2. Ebonite Angular One
3. Brunswick Twisted Fury
4. Brunswick Fury
5. Brunswick Total Inferno

Storm, are you able to recommend any pro-shop? do you think you can help find out the price of the above-mentioned balls? thanks LOTS!!!

thanks for the info mate! yeah, i remember last time, there used to be a couple of balls specially made for spinners. it's too long ago (think it's sometime in year 1999/2000), so i kinda forgot the name of those balls.

go look for roy at the bowling center u bowl at which i suppose its chevrons,no point asking u to go elsewhere when u are there, tell him john sent u there, ask him to help u,with rdgs to pricing u gotta ask him.
sometimes it could be just the drilling dun fit you thats why u are not able toget max out of your ball now cos as far as i know the taiwnese are using the orange black tornado but now i am not too sure what ball they are using now cos they dun come down to sg for any major tournaments anymore.

if u can lay hands on any of the wolf series(black, blue, red) would be good, but than in the market now, there isnt many of them new wolf(s) around or rather cant find any of them around,u gotta see which old bird spinner is willing to let go to u cos its considered a treasure to da spinners now
