Which players AW choose to play against Pool will go there to try to win and put Pool further down the EPL standing behind us. :biggrin4:

Pool is traditionally considered one of the main rivals for the EPL title beside Man Utd and Chelsea. Therefore it will be good for us to put Pool as far as possible behind us in terms of EPL points.

If Pool loses to Arsenal this weekend, they will be 9 points behind in the chase and Rafa will be under more pressure for his head should his team lose. :biggrin4:

The match against Liverpool at Anfield ended in a 1-1 draw leaving both teams undefeated so far in the EPL this season.

I was quite surprised that Rafa fielded 3 strikers. Torres was not match fit and had to be taken off at HT.

Honestly, I feel that Arsenal were more hungrier and were the better team especially in the 2nd half. Arsenal deserved to have won the game especially when the 2 attempts that hit the upright and bounced into the path of an unmarked Arsenal players, both times we missed the targets. I guess if you can't score from this type of chance then you don't deserve to win. :cry3:

Pool after scoring the early goal was playing defensively for most of the game and only had a go in teh 2nd half especially after conceding the equaliser. Arsenal was attacking and I was never in doubt that we will come back into the game.

Jamie Carragher was lucky not to have conceded a penalty when he pulled Fabregas down in the box. Replay clearly show that he tuck Fabregas' jersey. Last week he pulled an Everton player in the same manner and honestly last week the not given penalty was more clearcut. He seems to have the habit of "wrestling" and "pulling" down opponents in his own box, one day the referee will surely spot it.:biggrin4: Guess lady luck is still smiling at Pool.

We had passed the first of the 2 test, next week will be another thriller when we host Man Utd. :devil2:

this season without henry , gunners play better . seem like any players are free to shoot at goals as now without captain henry complaint that ball didn't reach him......:biggrin4:
hope persie will back soon , still think adebayor lack of some killing factor leh and touches need lot of improvement.

Even Henry admitted that the team plays better without him screaming for the ball most of the time.

He was booed by Barca fans in their last game recently for his lack of goals. Luckily he scored to silenced them, before that, he had only scored 3 goals for them and that came in a single match against a lowly placed opponent in the Spanish Liga.

Persie in my opinion, has the potential to become a World Class player  but the sad part is that he is quite injury prone. :cry3:

Adebayor needs to improve his first touch and developed a killer instinct infront of goal. He is capable of missing sitters as well as scoring spectacular goals like he did against Spurs. Sometimes he really look clumsy when he get the ball. As for Arsenal's 6th goal against Prague, I dun think he meant to dummy the ball, I think the ball just happened to slip pass him.

Still wondering why AW not using the Brazilian born Croatian Striker Eduardo. Afterall, we paid nearly 8 million pounds for him just to sit on the bench. When he played for Croatia, he looks a good decent player and I think he is their top scorer in the EC qualifers. :confused2:

We are in the next stage of the CL with our 0-0 away draw to Slavia Prague.

Although we did not score for the first time this season and it was not a vinstage display from the team, we still did enough to earn automatic qualifications for the next stage.

AW rested a number of first XI players for the match knowing that we only need a draw to qualifly and we have achieved that.

Well done GUNNERS!

I'm a Arsenal supporter and Thierry Henry fan. Still suffering from post-TH depression but Arsenal's late performances are definitely helping me on the road of recovery. Go gunners!:runnynose:

Well, we are actually doing better without Thierry Henry at the moment. In fact, I had never expected them to do so well. I had thought that this season we will be lucky if we finish among the top 4 and qualify for CL next season.

If we can maintain our momentum and form, we will be right there in the end of the season fighting for honours. We might even be crowned Champions with some luck!

To have TH is like having Fandi Ahmad in the national squad which causes the squad to go stagnate for awhile

Fandi Ahmad was the best player we had for a long time. All the youngsters looked up to him and would pass the ball to him hoping that he would score. Just like Arsenal when TH was still in team.

We are doing exceptionally well w/out him at the moment.

I hope that Van Persie will recover soon. He is a real talent but injury prone.

Tonight we will be travelling to Reading for a match that we must win in order to regain the leadership of the EPL.

Liverpool and Man Utd both won their matches whereas Chelsea drew with Everton.
