SGC$: 914.03 Bank: 1,078.47 Total SGC$: 1,992.49 | Apple released revised MacBooks today. The modest updates include faster Intel Core 2 Duo processors, 1GB of memory and larger hard drives: ![]() Instead of a 1.86GHz Core 2 Duo, the US$1,099 MacBook now sports a 2GHz Core 2 Duo. As for the US$1,299 and US$1,499 MacBooks, those models now feature 2.16GHz Core 2 Duos instead of the 2GHz chip they had before. However, judging by the specifications on Apple's site, the upgraded MacBooks appear to still be based on the old "Napa Refresh" platform. That means unlike the new Lenovo ThinkPad R61 or HP Pavillon dv2500t, for instance, the new MacBooks lack 800MHz front-side bus speeds, Intel 965 Express chipsets, and Intel GMA X3100 graphics. The MacBooks' Airport Extreme card does grant them support for 802.11n Wi-Fi, though.

SGC$: 1,651.48 Bank: 0.00 Total SGC$: 1,651.48 | yup. funnysnow is right, its is true, when i previously wanted to buy mac, the normal macbooks are just not great enough if you want to do MORE. i dunoe how well this one will be, but yup, i suggest when you wanna buy mac you tell the staff what programs you usually use, if you open more than 2-3 design programs at the same time, they usually advise you to get a PRO instead, in the end i got a powerbook g4 that was better la, now that PbG4 is no longer in market, seriously i will advise MacBook PRO, especially if you need to run alot of designer programs like photoshop and freehand all that. somemore with the new vistas up and all, i'm sure you wouldnt want a laggy mac as vista takes up alot of space incase u guys dunoe, i would say macbook pro would be most stable and friendly in the entire apple line.. =( need to use another 1 year before i can upgrade to PRO =( oh wells, but i cannot deny. hehe, mac rocks, i use so long no problems, no hang, no error, nothing.
