My company is supporting us to take up part time studies so they got 2 working time slot for us to choose.
9am-6pm or 8.30am-5.30pm
I have a colleague, she work mon to fri, went for classes 3 times a week during weekdays.
Every sat she study with her classmate, sun she go gym exercise or rest at home.
Can see she is tiring and often hard to have time to go out with friends.
But she is very determine and i guess she will able to make it! |

then, i am like you, waiting for answers like how they cope with it..
but i think it is to manage your time super well (really cut off activities like going out with your friends, shopping, online chatting etc..)
because part time studies is only at night? so is like work whole day, rush to school, and study till late, go home sleep.. assignments etc to be rushed during weekends?
but first, must find a good employer ^_^ so that they can understand your studies needs etc bah.. >.< | | | | | yup agree wif u.. btw where do u intend to take part time studies??

i been wondering if let say finish work @ 5 or 6pm.. then class start at 7pm.. it would be very troublesome to rush for lesson after work.. anyone face this kind of problem before?? how do u overcome it??
i dun wanna ride motorbike cause its very risky but car might be very expensive.. so e only way is to take either mrt or bus.. |

I also planning to take up part time diploma when i'm ready for it =P
Hmm if i'm able to, i'll try to find school which is nearer to my workplace or my house.
For people who knock off around 5-5.30pm i think there shouldn't be any problem to go for 7pm class hee
If until 6pm might be a little rush hmm if the school is far haha
Need to get something to eat before lesson also mah =P |

i'm not really that savy in knowing what's good for a p/t deg.. so i'm searchin forums etc for people taking up p/t..
most prob taking from those private schools or maybe SIM? which really is gonna be far..
somemore, i have no licenses.. so my only transport is BUS or MRT (taxis are no way, sure bring my expenses to sky-high.. haha..) ^_^
but, anyways, jiayou to ppl in this thread (working + studying) really must be determined! yays! |

What you need when studying part time is alot of focus and determination. Determination on when to study hard and when to play hard. Focus on producing quality work with quality time instead of producing quality work with quantity time. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. cause i study business during poly, dont think can adapt to anything else..
i'm still thinking which path would be the best for me..
but it seems that,
1) i hate silence, i prefer crowds, hanging out with people and chatting
2) i think i'm more noisy than quiet
3) but sometimes, i'm shy with strangers..
so, i thought maybe events, hotels, customers service line will be good for me? maybe pursue studies regarding those type, but have to hold on a office job first in order to study that.. (those cust serv line sure no time study de..)
any comments on what should i study for? (hints pls ^_^) |
