a jap mnc offered me a job a few months ago. benefits very good, will give bonus as well, even though i'm just a temp. will give pretty decent no. of med leave and will provide med claim as well. but then again, it varies from companies to companies. maybe you'll want to find out from them personally to be sure

I'm working in Japanese MNC too. Well, Japanese is quite 'petty' on their staff... Meaning they give less benefits... Eg cant claim OT etc... But if you prove some hardwork or meet their requirement, they will treat you like treasure... And many opportunities too... I can says pros n cons in each type...

i think most companies are like that on OT claims. if they allow you to claim more money due to OT, most people will go in work late, chit-chat all day, then work later? fyi, i work in an american company, and they don't have OT claims as well, only taxi-fee claims. not even meal claims, i think. ):

My first job is with a japanese MNC, quite petty with their increment and bonus. I remembered our increment was merely $30 throughout junior exec level. Miserable... Need to clock-in, clock-out, money will be deducted for lateness.

Current job also in japanese MNC, quite generous in increment, very flexible also.

Think it really depends on each individual company

I am working in a Japanese firm now. Benefits not bad, but the time off thing here during eves of public holidays are a bit odd. Like CNY eve, we are released at 3.30pm, when most companies are giving 1/2 off...

Hihi...

My first job after I graduate is SONY. Second is Japan Airlines.

My experince with them is, their pay is low. My pay at my first company is about $14XX. Lowest among all my friends... Increment wise is about $50... Benefit wise, consider okay. But all these informations are a few years ago...

Traditionally, JPN MNC Companies try not to retrench their staff. But the world change....

Most Japanese pay the workers lower than the USA or European counterparts...

Life is full of unexpected surprises
