Anyone using Wordpress here?

Hi,

Any wordpress users here? I upgraded to version 2.5 but I can't seem to upload pictures recently.

Do you observe the same problem as well?

I'm using wordpress 2.5 too. There should be a "add image / media" button just above the toolbar with all the font options. but now the thumbnail size like cannot set leh... :/

Wordpress user here. I have no problems with the images most probably cause I'm using nextgen plugin instead of the usual pre installed image thingy.

Yeah, i'm a wordpress user too , the only thing is that you can't run programs like google adsense etc on it, so no advertising money =/

use firefox. works for me. or add some codes into your .htaccess. its on google.

i choose wordpress is becos my webhost comes with it.

but my personal blog is blogspot.

I was a wordpress user few months ago. Actually there are pros/cons for blogger and wordpress lah, depend on individual.

You obviously know nothing about wordpress at all. Perhaps you're using the one hosted by them. Oh well, that is kind of sad as you do not experience to fullest capabilities of wordpress.

And why wordpress I hear?
Its much better IN ALL WAYS when you host it yourself. Wordpress can be converted actually to anything and everything. Blogspot, is just there. What they give what you get. What you want, just dream and pray.

yup i'm using the one hosted by them and yeah i know they limit certain functions, but hosting it yourself requires money doesn't it, i'm not willing to pay for that.

Thats for wordpress.com, but I think most of us here host our own, so we can.

it depends to indivisual.
having your own webhost, not only for blogging.
you can do many things.
wordpress is just an additional function in it.

so if you're paying the webhost for other stuffs such as, ecommerce or forum, you can make use of the wordpress as well.

Overall i feel wordpress gives a much more professional feel. My thoughts though. You can get yourself some reliable free host as well. I dont know. But I believe if you compare features, wordpress (Self-hosted) beats blogspot hands down. Theres no way to compare both at all.

Thanks! I also found some help by googling but I decided to use the plugin as for now till they fix the bug...hee..don't want to mess up my htaccess...

And yes for the rest...just to clarify a bit...

wordpress.com is a free account...you can't advertise adsense on it...
wordpress.org requires your own domain hosting...but i like the flexibility...close one eye and pay a bit each month lor...hehe...but i tink now my adsense revenue can cover the hosting fees liao!

My blog is hosted by Bluehost...quite cheap and so far really reliable...no problems!

Is it possible to export wordpress.com blogs to wordpress.org? I think I'm going to get a host soon as my blog attracts a fairly high number of views per day (600+ daily), I should make some money out of that!
