If it's schools then it'd be quite expensive.. can easily source for schools online~ or perhaps someone can start a korean lesson online.

can go purchase those learning CDs from Popular or Kinokuniya also =)

Reading is one thing. Languages can't exactly be studied alone. I believe it needs to be practised upon and we also need to know whether our intonation is right or wrong.. so I guess it 's better to get something audio .. it'd definitely help

I got my book and CD from my skol. It's allows you to learn to write and pronounce simple hangul thn u start learning the vocab and grammer. I had left my book at home and cant remember the title. Let me get back to you once i get home.

i recommend Rosetta Stone

Rosetta Stone combines vocabulary words with audio pronunciations, and pictures in a flash card format to teach all languages and many other languages. This is one of the easiest programs to use. Just choose one of the five different sections and the software will guide you through a vocabulary list. The sections include Listening and Reading, Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing.

Rosetta Stone has 200 hours of instructional material; however, it doesn’t have any word tools like a dictionary or word processing converter and it doesn’t teach anything about the grammar of any language.

Languages that are included:
Arabic
Chinese
Cymraeg
Dansk
Deutsch
English UK
English US
Castilian
Spanish
French
Greek
Hebrew
Hindi
Indonesian
Italian
Japanese
Kiswahili
Korean
Latin
Nederlands
Polish
Portuguese
Russian
Svenska
Thai
Turkish
Vietnamese

my audio and book does teach how read and the book teach how to write. they teach from the basic singluar word (kinda like our hanyu pinyin a e i o u). thn after learning all these then go on to basic sentence structure.

Here is the title of the book:
Colloquial Korean : the complete course for beginners / In-seok Kim.

it's real good but must pratice very good

it come with a book and 2 CDs. and also there is mini games and tests in btw the chapters.
