Wiki, altho not necessarily the gospel truth, has a greater probability of being accurate since it can be read and changed by others, so big inconsistencies tend to get ironed out. And they usually have more links for you to follow up with.
Lazy ah, no worries, here's a link to help you get started . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wicca
Once you read and become expert liao, you can explain to me. hahaha. j/k.

Blessed be... | | | | | Yah i agree that wiccan shld not be placed in same category as Satanist. WHile Wicca promote peace, environment preservation and have other different practices, Satanists usually are the opposite...
I have done some research on Wicca before (books and websites) when i was in my 'witchy' phase. Haha Anyway there are books of spells u can refer to available in Kinokuniya and MPH here but Kino at Taka, and MPH at Citylink got more range.
Haha the spells used usuallly require quite a few props eh. I tried 1 spell before and well it did work la albeit it din end as i expected. Well i din really continue liao cuz casting those spells require too much stuffs and some of those stuffs not that easy to get. haha
Anyway the spells, wicca likens those to making prayers to your God etc. When u pray to God, u usually give thanks to him and also make the favor u wan known & pray hard rite? Similarly these spells work much like that whereby u give thanks to the Goddess/gods/mythical creatures (depending on which u wan to work with), cast ur spell to make ur desire known & infuse it with ur desires/feelings.
Just like ur prayers, these spells also don't work instantly like in movies, but they take time to materialize.
And also Wiccans have to abide by the Wicca Reed and they must do those spells with good intentions and not cause harm to others or self. Else the bad karma will come back to spellcaster in 3 folds. =)
Wiccans have covens too usually in US but here in singapore i think most wiccans will be solitary. And unlike in movies, wiiccan can work as well on his/her own as in covens. All u need is faith in your chosen path.
I didn't research on Satanist...but i know that while the symbol used by Wiccans is pentacle, the Satanist usually use inverted cross or inverted pentacle. Hence many people tend to confuse Satanists with Wiccans and think that all witches must worship the devil...which is the wrong assumption, i'm sure all Wiccans agree.
BTW so wiccans here, which goddess/god/mystical creature do u usually evoke? To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Yes i agree, Wicca should not be placed on the same breath as satanism. Totally different. |

different goddess/god represent certain aspect that u desire can be evoked. SUch as u want to enhance ur beauty or love, can choose Ahprodite etc
Usually wiccans also will choose 1 specific goddesses/gods/creatures to work with primarily. As my nick, I like Artemis, Goddess of Hunt & Moon. =P To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

I would think Athena (knowledge & wisdom), Aphrodite (love and beauty), or even Hades (wealth and all under the earth) would be appropriate. I would even understand Dionysus, if you were one who enjoys partying, wine, sex and prophecy.
Oh, and before anyone asks, I am not a Wiccan. I just happened to have grown up on these legends, and have done a somewhat brief foray into Greek Mythology. I have always been regaled by their legends and myths.

I love the moon, night skies, wilderness too. =P
