sg FD can forget it, int rate lower then esaver. unless is foreign currency FD but then the risk of currency fluctuation.
recently gotta know the citibank step a/c which gives 0.685% intially and then goes up to 2%. comes with free cheque book and atm card but minimum balance is $2k. |

So far FD rates the highest goes to NTUC Thrift for small amounts like min $500 and can fixed for 3 mths onwards with different prevailing interest rate offered. The lowest rate offered is 2.1% with a min deposit of $500 for 3 mths. |

Total SGC$: 170.10 | Re: Any recommand for less risk investment or fixed bank deposit? I'm going for eSaver next week. Anyway Citibank's Step-Up Interest account is as such. U start with a base interest of 0.6875% and every consecutive month that your balance increases, you get an additional of 0.1093% step-up in the interest. In one year, if your minimum balance increases month by month, you could earn up to a total of 2%* interest on your savings. That's how it works. Max interest is 2%, and it can be maintained in 2 ways, either continue to increase the bank balance every month, or if you have S$20K in your account. No minimum balance for this account, but you have to arrange your emplyer to credit your pay into the account every month. Got some forms to be filled up by your employer. |

So that in future if you need money urgently from your e-savers, can still go to the ATM. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.: Asia Solution Kenetics

To earn the 1.68% interest, you need to maintain a minimum of 5k inside the account. Any amount lesser than 5k will be subjected to an interest rate of 0.25%.
If you are able to maintain the minimum of 5k for a period of 6 months, you earn an interest-on-interest bonus.
There's actually another savings account that is not too bad. It's the Fairprice Plus savings account. It offers you an interest of 1% (the lowest among the 3), but it gives you rewards when you shop at ntuc fairprice. Also, you can get a debit or credit card if i am not wrong.
Maybank's Isavvy Account: ideal for any amount greater than 5k
StanChart's eSaver Account: ideal for all amounts
OCBC Fairprice Plus Account: ideal for all amounts plus rewards will be awarded |

if consumers do not have that amount and wish to have a reasonably high interest rate, can seriously consider treasury bills
3 months tenor period giving a return yield of around 2+% |
