Its about places in singapore to visit, the various new developments that they are planning...

The firelies farm is not a place for fire flies, its just an organic farm

Hey !!

Yah i heard of treetop walk but habern gotten chance to explore it. Muz check out how to get there 1st. Sian i miss STREETDIRECTORY! why muz close? =x

Anyway there r several places to go in singapore...

All the tourist attractions - sentosa, jurong bird park, WWW, Zoo, Night safari, Botanical gardens, , ECP, Pasir ris park.

For entertainment - play board games at MIndcafe, settles cafe or pit stop; go musuems - Singapore National Musuem, Art museum, asian civilization musuem; go Esplanade -sometimes they have free music performances; go to Clarke Quay: recently there's the Singapore Art Fest & there was this Water Fools performance on the Singapore river.

And for this may-june, there are several performances too:

RADIO & JULiet (a contemporary dance interpretation of shakepearse's romeo & juliet)
- jUNE 3, 8PM at Esplanade

THE KING LEAR PROJECT: A TRILOGY, JUN 11- 13, 8PM @ DRAMA CENTRE THEATRE

TEMPLE (new production bleding pop aesthetics & theatre from singaporean grp Cake Theatrical Group abt 7 characters who lock themselves into a sports hall to escape the world)
, JUN 19-20, 8PM @ DRAMA CENTRE THEATRE

MAHA MELA (a dusk-dawn celebration of indian culture ranging from dance n theatre to music)
, MAY 31 6pm-7am @ Little India, open field opp Serangoon Plaza

HYDRO SAPIENS (world premiere of an aquatic spectacle exploring the value of water by Norwegian group The Lunatics)
, Jun 20-22, 8pm @ Bedok Reservoir.

If u love nature, u can explore all the parks and nature reserves in singapore. Furthermore in the recent news, there is this new park - Southern ridges. The Southern Ridges comprise a 9-kilometre chain of green, open spaces spanning the rolling hills of Mount Faber Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park and Kent Ridge Park before ending at West Coast Park.

Oh i juz found out that there's this new adventure place in Bedok Reservoir called Treetop adventure. Its the first flying fox for the reservoirs in singapore. Seems quite interesting...i alrdy told my friends...so maybe nxt month we'll try this out~ Haha

Here are some websites u can check out for more details:

Uniquely singapore (summary of all attractions etc) http://www.visitsingapore.com/publis.../en/index.html

National parks (specifically Southern Ridges)
http://www.nparks.gov.sg/southernridges.html

Tree Top adventure
http://www.forestadventure.com.sg/pages/news.html

Actually wanted to explore the other offshore islands in singapore like St John or Sisters' island...but Nevermind...in the future bahz..

Hahaz if u guys sooo interested in supernatural...there's this SIngapore Paranormal INvestigators - they do organize supernatural tours for public too. Like explore Gates to hell, haunted places etc.

Hi
I hope this doesn't come to you too late. Tomorrow (Saturday, 31 May 08) is International Museum Day. 13 museums in Singapore are free. Check out the listing at this website:

http://www.yesterday.sg/imd08

The Asian Civilisations Museum has one more day free (Sunday, 1 June 08). So time to catch up with our heritage and connect with our roots. Happy 'museuming', everyone.

Dear all
are you thinking of taking kids to the Zoo, Night Safari and Bird Park?

Just read this week that they are having a 3-in-1 package. Until 22 June 08, the combined ticket of all 3 parks is only $20 for children 3-12 and $40 for anyone above 12. You are actually saving a total of $8.50 per child and $16.50 per adult.

Also many activities organised for children. And you may take up to a month to visit all 3 parks. I just returned from the Bird Park and was pleasantly surprised by how much their shows have improved since I last went there (ok, ok... it was quite long ago).

Have fun with the animals and the birds.

Took a walk at the Sungei Road Thieves Market just the other day and was quite surprised to find the following:

1. Postcards from the 1920s (from Singapore and elsewhere)
2. A vintage Nikon camera
3. A wooden structure made in the shape and colour of a male private part!

If you are around the Sungei / Rochor Road area, you may want to have a look at this flea market.

Nature and Greenery Chill-outs

WEST

1) Qian Hu Fish Farm (Jalan Lekar)

No need to elaborate right? Fish and more fish!

2) Spring Orchard aka Dragon Fruit Farm (Lim Chu Kang Lane 4)

The only dragon fruit farm in SG! and these are RED dragon fruits. Can see their growing process, and able to buy them and try! There are also other special dragonfruis products like Dragonfruit Drink, Konnyaku.... Accessible by the Krangji Express

3) Bollywood Veggies (Neo Tiew Road)

A great place to visit! There arre many kinds of vegetables, fruit trees! You can see how these fruits are grown on trees and even try them at their Bistro! Check out those cashew nut trees and custard apples bushes...! Accessible by Krangji Express

NORTH

1) Mycofarm Mushroom Farm (Seletar West Farmway 5)

See how Shitake Mushrooms are grown in these cool environments! An eye opener to many of us! You can also try their special mushroom muffins... They also sell their freshly harvested mushrooms! Not much to see... But further down the road, you should see a animal Resort!

2) Animal Resort (Seletar West Farmway 5)

The school of Pet Grooming! Heard of it... The resort houses dogs, rabbits, cats and swans... Be sure to spot the Australian Cassowary! Ideal place for pet lovers...! I guess this is the one and only bigger scale pet grooming school here in SG!

Haha sian... I'm not really into that nature kind thing. Most of the places I've been before, like tree top walk, reservoir all these. Singapore really does seem super boring nowadays :/
