Well, I guess its not easy to keep a dog as pet, if you do, you better prepare for some serious long-term committment. Good of you to think that sending back to the owner cause you may not ake care of it well, but have you thought, would that owner take care of it well too? Would he/she send the dog to the vet with your $35? Well, if he/she would, why give up the dog for adoption in the first place? Its just some thoughts....

Also, adoption is not so a bad idea... well, if you think dogs are too much to handle at the momnent, try something smaller like a bunny or something, may not be as active as a dog but sure will not lose out in terms of looks and obedience. =)

please try your best to adopt then to buy from a pet shop.

when i first adopted my 2 kittens both of them were flea infested.
and since it was my first time keeping cats, i didn't even know they were carrying fleas until like weeks later.
the person who found them didn't even told me that the kittens were infested with fleas.

but did i return them back?
no.
the battle with fleas lasted for months, then my cats and my room are now free of fleas.
don't let this kinda problems stop you from helping them

if you said the puppy whine and miss its previous
if you buy a new puppy it will most likely still whine.
and a new puppy might also carry ticks and might have more illness which you can see from the appearence.

Pls do adopt pets rather than buy them from petshops. All dogs do whine or bark when they r at new environment. Juz gif them a few days to get accustom to new environments. imo, I wouldnt hv rtn the dog to the previous owner. obviously they r not taking good care of it. They may well gif the dog up for adoption again, n if the new owner did the same thing as u, the dog will hv to be passed ard many times. Imagine the trauma the dog hv to go thru over n over again. but u r definitely an animal lover. u probably did not want the poor dog to be sad, tats why u returned it. Is there any updates?

currently what i heard over msn is that the puppy is recovering from the medication and flea killer spray... it's also whining less at night already...

the reason for the flea is due to they brought the puppy for a stroll downstairs and didn't really know why is he always scratching himself after that... haiz... just glad to know that he's happy now....

You know,

this maybe be a bit out of point but I'll share it with you all anyway. When I was walking down the stairs of my friend's house I saw a dog tied from the parapet. It wagged its tale and barked repeatedly when it saw me, and I could see from its eyes it was so happy to see me, even though I don't really know the reason why. I mean, it was my first time passing by that place and I have never seen that cute little dog before. It was white and cuddly, and I so wanted to go touch it or give it a hug or something, but I couldn't because I didn't want to offend the owners.

What a cute dog...

Hi Enon,

I can see that you're an animal lover. I wish I could "share" my 3 yr old shih tzu with you.

Tiffy is a female Shih Tzu and we have had her since she was 3 months old. I have been thinking real hard if I should give her up for adoption. My only concern is that she may end up in a bad home and being abused. The thought can drive me to tears.

My two boys, age 26 and 17 are too busy to spend time with her and I'm a working mother with a back problem. I have been finding it more and more taxing to look after Tiffy as the boys don't help at all. All they do is play with her.

As she has some minor skin problem and I suspect it's the dry food that may be giving her itchy skin. I started giving her home cooked food since she was 6 months old. I cook for her once a week and she loves it. It's a combination of minced mutton, potatoes and carrots which i cook in carrot cake style. Her skin problem is under control now.

She is very lovable and paper trained. However, she has not learned to socialise with other dogs. She is afraid of even a puppy.

I'm looking for a responsible and caring person to take care of her and give her all the attention and affection she deserves.

As I live in Bt. Panjang which is quite far from Buangkok. I'm checking out with another member, Renee if she is willing to share her with me. If not maybe let me visit or take her home once in a while during the weekends.
