ALOE VERA is also known as A. vulgaris Lam or A. barbadensis Mill. It is described as Aloe which is mainly found in northern Africa. It is a very short-stemmed or stemless plant which can grow upto a height of 80-100 cm tall which spreads for balancing and root sprouts.

The leaves of aloe vera are thick and fleshy, lance-shaped leaves and they are always green and grey-green in colour.

The flowers are produced on a spine or thorn up to 90 cm tall which contains tubular corolla in yellow colour that is about 2-3 cm long. Aloe vera contains calcium, amino acids, sodium, vitamins, nitrogen, enzymes etc.

The cultivation of aloe vera is done throughout the subtropical and drier tropical regions of the world and used for herbal medicine and as an ornamental plant.
IT CAN BE USED RAW DIRECT FROM PLANT.
USES OF ALOE VIRA
Aloe vera has number of uses and mainly they are used as a food preservative and medicine. The different uses of aloe vera are:-

Aloe vera is used in creams, lotions, gel, liquid, spray and capsule.
It is helpful in the treatment of acne, scalp care, burns, stings, sprains, sunburns, eczema, sore muscles, arthritis, scrapes, cold sores, scalds, abrasions, psoriasis, bruises etc.
It provides relief from itching and also helps in healing blisters.
It is very beneficial for skin disorders.
The juice from aloe vera plant is used in the treatment of ulcers, heartburn and other digestive disorders.
The juice of aloe vera acts as an anti-inflammatory agent and reduces the amount of stomach juices.
It lightens the dark spots on the face and reduces the intensity of pigmentation.
It is used as a moisturizer and helpful in removing dead cells.
It is also helpful in the penetration of healthy substances.
Aloe vera is beneficial in stimulating the production of elastin and collagen which are necessary for preventing the aging of the skin.
Pain in the joints and muscle pain occurred due to arthritis is reduced by the application of aloe vera sprays or gels.
The gel of aloe vera provides benefit in reducing triglycerides, total cholesterol and blood fat lipid levels.
The extract of aloe vera reduces blood sugar levels.
Aloe vera drink is used as a tonic by some patients.
It is helpful in healing such as anti-oxidant, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties.
It is beneficial in reducing obesity and breaks down the fat globules.

I've ever used it for sunburn not on myself but someone else. It has the cooling effect and sunburn recovery was rapid. Overall an effective product.

Good for skin, no doubt. Whether it rids skin problems, I do not have the expertise to answer that. Perhaps somebody whose done some research on this matter could enlighten us.

aloe vera is really great. i was once burnt by an iron and i applied aloe vera for a while it healed super FAST and cant really see the scar

i think aloe quite good leh cos that time i got a cut on my finger then my aunt put some from the plant on my finger and it healed very fast!!! haha i'm thinking of getting aloe plant then plant my own hahaha

yup i swear by aloe vera gel. its like my holy grail! i've used it on pimples and they disappear after a few days without being inflammed or anything like that. i've applied it on mozzy bites, sun burn, ulcers, dry skin etc.. not sure if all brands of aloe vera is as good, but the one that i am using is Jorubi.

i think it's really good neh.. esp when u get sunburnt or ur skin is red due to some infection or allergy.. it has a calming and cooling effect.. it's very moisturising too

Correct, Aloe vera is good to stop bleeding, itchy, ulcer and good to whole body.
Nowaday, marketing also a lotof product with alor vera.
Due to Aloe vera is very good, but if the aloe vera is 100-Time Aloe Barbadensis Concentrate (mean 100gram concentrate to 1gram) is it better?? hahaa.............

aloe vera is damn good.... for pimples.. u apply aloe vera for 2days.. the 3rd day its dried up u can just peel it off without scar..... its for those with dandruff also...cos...ppl who get dandruff is due to oily scalp... aloe vera can help lighten it....


aloe vera is good for everything even blisters... within 2days u can remove from it.... swollen eyes as well... itch as well... everything...
