To all bowlers bowling at Hougang Superbowl

Hi, just felt like starting a new thread here as dis is my first post as well, hope there will be a decent response. haha.

DIs is to all bowlers who are bowling in leagues, for leisure, or those who always frequent there, u guys can leave ur comments and opinions over here.

Hi, and welcome to SGBC!

I'm just wondering what kinda response you're looking for... Opinions on Superbowl Hougang?

Well, I went there only once with some members of the team, and felt that the lanes are not too bad to play... I don't really like the environment though, because of the bookies, and the ah bengs and ah lians who frequent the arcade and billiard center. Hahahaa....

SuperFuryPearl and his brother mindfreak used to be regulars there. I think they will be able to provide a deeper insight on the bowling center itself.

i used to frequent there coz its juz 5mins drive away from my place. The lanes are not bad .. the bad end is clean and quite easy to play compared to lanes like chevron which appear to be more slippery.
The staff also very friendly but as what NV mentioned, there is lots of bookies there and the space abit small.

I bowl league and sometime tournament at Hougang Superbowl. Although the lane a bit difficult to play with but still manageable.

hmmm as in opinions like the people there, the regulars, the bookies, the lanes, the pro shop.. haha cos im a regular bowler there n a league bowler for the wednesday trios league.. yeah true.. too many lians n bengs frequenting the arcade n billliard center.

hahah im a league bowler there for the wed trios league.. hmm i agree that most of the time the back end is clean and easy to play.. but the lanes over there r suitable for spinners i must say.. haha.. think for hook bowlers cos its not long oil like safra mount faber so probably might be hard to adjust.. dats wad i tink

frankly speaking i dun like the environment there due to the fact that its very crampy due to the low ceiling ,as for the patrons wise,i got no comments cos all sorts of pple bowl and all sorts of pple frequent bowling center

for hook ballers u need to play a more forward roll type of play in order to not let the ball skid too far out

for spinners wise,no comment cos everywhere they go they just play the same area so nothing much to comment on

there r quite a few good bowlers there, pple from team Bee3 like Andy Lai, Alan Tan, Jennifer Tan all this.. Im a spinner as well so i like to watch them play.

Jennifer Tan is a National bowler, of cos she is good lah. Andy Lai has always on the high score since my hubby start bowling with him in the year of 90's. Beside Bee3, Superbowl and Radin Tech also very strong.

But last 2 week we are so luck win superbowl by 11 pts.
