hmm...it depends if to give seats to ppl who need more...
i especially dun give seats too those who expect me to give them
once, i met one auntie, i was sleeping (not pretending mind you) then suddenly i felt someone kick my leg...i open my eyes and see a auntie starin at me..then i went back to sleep thinkin maybe she not on purpose...then agian, i felt a nudge at my leg...i open my eyes and stare at her...and her face like give attitude like that...like oie dunnoe how to give seats arz?

then after that i felt a kick at my leg again but this time is because she run over to an empty seats...wth

she not even old...just a 40plus auntie...unless you are very old very old then i will give you seats la

totally agree.. although not all but majority is still like that.

if gonna compare sg with jpn or usa there's still a huge gap in between..plus the language ._.

sg ppl are POPULAR for them

it's not an assumption, i've been to japan and i can tell you that people there are so much more polite and kinder than people here in Singapore.

just to prove my point, just the other day i was taking a bus back from school and i saw this caucasian woman who actually went the extra mile to pick up a water bottle (obviously dropped by some blur king who did not bother to pick it up after he "dropped" it), the bottle was rolling around the floor from the front to the back so on and so forth, and the lady just picked it up and put it next to her when everyone else was just pretending to not notice the bottle (me included

)

and i'm sure i can give many more examples if this is not enough.

BRO i agree with you! it's all in their upbringing and peer influences, eg. if you see your friends giving up their seats old people or to the disabled when you yourself don't do it, sooner or later you'll figure out that it's the "right" thing to do and you would probably follow him sooner or later.

Yeah. I agree that Singaporean's lack of basic courtesy. They just simply dont know how to say "EXCUSE ME".! They will push you like nobody business!

Come on... every where you are bound to meet ppl who are rude. It is just not only in Spore. There is jus a handful of ppl that have none of these basic courtesy that caused ppl to have the wrong idea.

Parents only know how to spoil their child nowadays. I'm now working in a furniture company and seriously, those rich mothers talk - always got same template one, especially when there're slight changes to deliveries etc

"OH NO, My daugther's going to be very disappointed! She was so excited about her new bed!"

"My daughter needs to take her nap! U can't come at this time!"

WTF. Seriously, if not for my paycheck and the fact that my supervisor's super nice and friendly, I'll just ask them to shut their ass.
