Default 5 steps vs 4 steps approach

Is there any advantage 5 steps have over 4 steps ? Seems like more Pros and national bowlers take 5 steps rather 4. Or is it just a matter of preference ?

5 stepping is a way to gain more ball speed without making any changes to your release etc
