There are really many parents bought wii to play with their kids. Some people actually bought it for their parents.

Your opinion is very similar to facevoid. Live in only the Sony's graphic world. Cannot accept that Wii graphic quality and bashing it based on your own opinion. If you don't like Wii, just tell others that you "prefer" PS3 because of this and that. No need to say what girlfriend, gays, parents......etc. It is very LAME! Both of you!

wii is wii. its a console for pple who want to have a no brainer games. (not saying that all games are no brainer)
x360 is for hardcore FPS, action games.
PS3 is more for RPG games.

about graphics and gameplay.
i do agree graphics has nothing to do with gameplay. i still enjoy playing SNES games. or i do boot up my sega saturn once in a while.
but with better graphics, gameplay can be ENHANCED. when one plays a game with less pixels and higher quality, gameplay would automatically becomes better. so a good gameplay game with excellent graphics would become a killer.

and 1 more thing...sony has achieved something that wii can only dream of.... in 1 week of the week that MGS4 was released, ps3 sales have gone up 300% In just 1 week, wii has never achieved this before in their sales..

you cant compare wii graphics to PS3, like i said its worlds apart, Wii is more of a last gen consoles, with graphics that is the same or slighty better then PS2......and comparing ps3 graphics to wii graphics is like comparing Earth to Mars...their 2 different worlds

Oh and 1 more thing...even IGN.com has reported saying that PS3 IS the console to get for serious gamers, and it will be a hot product in the years to come....

PS2 was the weakest console in terms of graphics. Go check it out.
Wonder why it did so well.
Wii was twice the gamecube. So it dont have any improvement?

1st impressions for a console is very important.
thats y ps3 did so badly.
perhaps its bcoz ps3 only attract one genre of gamers.
