Violette is very busy today so she has asked me to set up this thread.

Attendance for SGClub's 1st Makan Outing according to punctuality at meet-up point...

All of us walked to Maxwell Road Food Centre from Tanjong Pagar MRT (wangzi>3 was already at the food centre watching ppl eating) and when we reached Stall No 10, Tian Tian Chicken Rice, the queue was sooooo long and there weren't any vacant tables available. So what we did was, half of us queue'd for the food and the other half went to sit at tables half-occupied therefore making the diners very uncomfortable plus with our members gawking at them eating, they hurriedly swallowed their food and left. :biggrin4: By co-operation and good teamwork, we got our food and our tables and with growling stomachs, we attacked our meal with gusto.
After the meal, we adjourned to the URA Centre, next to the Maxwell Food Centre for some photo-taking. Initially most of the members were camera-shy (especially the gals) but after some tomfoolery, everyone kind of relaxed and took some quirky pix as well as some group shots.
On the way back to Tanjong Pagar MRT, we dropped in and had a quick look at some exhibition in the Red Dot building.

We said bye bye to each other at the MRT station with some taking the east bound train while the rest took the west bound train. Some of us had other programs and some of us went home.

Overall, the Makan Outing was successful in the sense all of us who went enjoyed each other's company - THAT, basically, was the core intention of a SGClub outing.

We hope that MORE members will make an effort to join future SGClub outings as there IS a tremendous difference in meeting face-to-face after all the postings as friendship takes root with such encounters.

I tink not bad. With an outing everyone gets to interact with each other face-to-face rather than fingers that do the talking... ahaha... Someone got to he less camera-shy hor... **hinting**

mama T_T my nick no 'c' one. hmm. my short compo.

i reached first O_O for the first time ever LOL. oh well, then some people came.. some si ah gong call me OLD. omg! i so young, where got old... T_T when everyone's here, we went to the place. queue so long.. some queue, some sit, some talk talk, some stare into space.

i had to go buy battery so me & wangzi went to find a shop. we walk cross the street and down to a 7-11. on the way back we saw another 7-11 juz near the market. -.-

me and vio went around taking pics first then dig into our food. ok lah not bad. agree with teriyaki, the beansprout is not bad. then mama suddenly disappeared. she went to buy fried bananas for us. vio took 1 and acted something out. =x teriyaki followed suit and then calis.







went to take photo at the samsui (?) women there. there were some obscene poses.. Someone refused to take pics but i got some of her in the end =x took group photos. come to think of it, theres no group photo with EVERYONE in it.







walked back to mrt. omg i nearly fell. so paiseh. i no need anyone to help me mouth-to-mouth pls. lol =x went to see some art on the way. then we go our separate ways at the mrt station.

to me, yeah it was fun lah. too bad i didnt get to go to ALL gatherings/outings but i enjoyed myself today. its not all about the makan-ing.

p.s: sorry the girls one, alot of people dun wan to put up so i not putting up besides, i look so ugly too. omg!

I enjoyed both the rice and the chicken. So good that you can even eat it on its own! =D

Overall rating = 8.5/10

PS: Luckily the chicken rice store near my place doesn't make nice chicken rice. If not I'd surely keep putting on weights! Chicken rice = Oily!~ T.T
