The Moth Diaries is a horror English movie directed by Mary Harron with star casts Scott Speedman, Sarah Bolger, Lily Cole and Sarah Gadon.
The Moth Diaries movie is based on a young adult novel with a plot of black magic bedeviling boarding school's girls and series of disasters take place. A plot of the movie is narrated in the voice of 16-year-old. She suspects one of her schoolmate to be a vampire who is responsible for her best friend's illness.
The plot is set in 1960s and starts when Rebecca (Sarah Bolger) returns for her senior year to opulently pastoral Brangwyn College.
The themes of the movie are female bonding and jealousy.
