The Other Woman is a 2014 American rom-com. When a woman finds out that the man she has been dating and falling in love with, has been cheating on her she tries to reclaim her life. When she accidentally meets the wife of her boyfriend an awkward bonding between the two take place. And when they find out that they have been part of a larger club, of women being cheated by the same man they set out to get (mutual) revenge on the man.
Carly –Cameron Diaz – finds out that she is the unofficial mistress of her lover. Mark, the cheating husband in question, is found out to be a man of multiple mistresses. The wife, the girlfriend and his third lover then set out to take revenge. This sitcom has an underbelly of some serious and dark stuff – that of the serially non-monogamus husband. The dialogues are clever and funny, but it fails to keep the audience interested long enough to sit out till the end of the film. You will find yourself yawning through midway.
