The next sequel in the Hunger Games Series, Mockingjay will hit our shores on 20 November 2014. If you enjoyed the second sequel Catching Fire, you will certainly be looking forward to the first part of a 2-part finale. Leading up to its official release, movie studios have been slowly releasing teasers to whet our appetite and to get us prepared for what could be one of the most highly anticipated movies of 2014. The first to be released is of course the teaser trailer of Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.

What’s more, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay has upped the ante by adding even more solid cast actors to their list like Julianne Moore and Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones). Then we have the official trailer of Mockingjay:

Slowly, the first teaser posters were released which gives us a glimpse of the characters and what they will be like in the film. The poster shows the iconic mockingjay, similar to what is published on the book covers but this time, the bird has broken free and spread its wings.

Panem isn’t wonderland and life is far from being good. To get things started, Lionsgate released a set of posters celebrating the ‘District Heroes’ of Panem. The images show seven of the country’s hard-working citizens from different Districts, representing all of the different cogs that keep Panem functioning. Even Katniss’ home turf, District 12, gets some representation. Yes, people you don’t even know or care, but that is how it works. The best will be saved for the last.

Malcolm Kastel, 31, Transportation District

Fibre Bissette, 32, Technology District

Lily Elsington, 6, Mining District

Elias Haan, 26, Lumber District

Felix Stam, 35, Livestock District

Triti Lancaster, 17, Grain District

Naida Dolan, 22, Fishing District

The next set of teaser posters showed the characters masterminding events in the film including Plutarch Heavensbee (Phillip Seymour Hoffman) and Alma Coin (Julianne Moore) and how life was life behind the walls of District 13.

Certainly, the previous set of posters are not the most exciting ones and it is probably deliberate in their release to excite fans. The rebels are going to be stronger in the finale and the next set of teaser posters attest to that. It shows the rebels in the film decked out in battle gear and looking really serious and ready for a fight. However, the lead characters are not in the set.

And finally, Lionsgate has released a poster of our favorite heroine, Katniss Rebel Warrior (Jennifer Lawrence) BUT only of her back. She is armed with her iconic bow and arrow. The front facing version of the poster is anticipated to be released on September 10.

We will definitely be expecting a few more interesting posters to be released before the launch of this film. Are you looking forward to this sequel yet?
