This exhibition focuses on black and white paintings by two Chinese artists Qi Hong and Wang Shao Xuan. The idea of this exhibition Simply Black and White came from the idea of expressing the black tones against the light coloured paper, to achieve the simplicity of beauty by just using minimal colour tones, reducing reality to a two-coloured world. Black and White Series consist of a series of semi-abstract Chinese ink horses painted by Qi Hong and another series of abstract lotus along the scenery of ponds painted by Wang Shao Xuan. (more...)

This exploratory exhibition takes us into the studio of the contemporary painter Jeremy Sharma, a Lecturer in the Faculty of Fine Arts, LASALLE College of the Arts.
The exhibition focuses on the past two years of his work, selecting at least five distinct bodies of work, which explore the interplay between picture, image, painting, and object, in the medium of enamels, lacquer, beeswax, and oils. As Sharma observes, he is interested in the marks of human endeavour when one creates a painting and also of chance, silence, ambience, weight, and the aesthetics of absence and reduction. (more...)
