Concubine (ccb in future) Chan decided to leave the palace secretly, but was discovered by the pregnant Concubine Yu. Ccb-Yu did not let Ccb-Chan off after Chan begged her. Ccb-Chan was sentenced to death by Ccb-Yu. Ccb-Chan cursed Ccb-Yu’s baby before she died in hatred. Palace-Runners ( Hong-Mou and his cousin Chan-Song ) were transporting offerings to the palace when they met a bunch of ladies (rushing to Capital, to take part in a concubine competition) who were chased after by some famous bandits (Tin-Lei sect). Hong-Mou initially decided to forsake the ladies, but after one of the girls “Yi-Shon” (Charmaine) used some tactics, they have to send them to the Capital.
Hong-Mou lost the offerings, due to saving the girls. The pampered girls were complaining throughout the journey, Yoke-Yin (Gigi) thinks her beauty has results in the boycotting from the other girls, and trusted “Yi-Shon”, and hence sweared to become god-sisters with her. Yoke-Yin was later caught by the bandits and Hong-Mou went back to save her after knowing she is the daughter of a big officer.
After Ccb-Chan was dead, there are rumours around, so her room was then sealed. Yoke-Yin and Yi-Shon were chosen into the Palace. During midnight, YokeYin accidentally came to Ccb-Chan’s room.

Servant “On-Seen” (Maggie) noticed Yoke-yin in the room and tricked her to draw scripts on her face, and helped her to escaped under the eyes of Ccb-Yu. Yoke-Yin thought On-Seen was harming her and confront her. Yi-Shon and 2 other chosen ones, “Yuen-Kei” and “Spke-Neng” were actually god-daughters of a big enunch who hoped that if any of these 3 got doted by the king, he will attain some benefits.
Hong-Mou lost in a gambling table and visit Yoke-Yin relative for help, but failed. Doctor Sun-Ching-Wah (Dr SCW) helped Ccb-Yu to check her pregnancy status which was not very positive.
Ccb-Yu later felt comfortable and summon Doctor Sun-Bat-Yeung. SBY said that the foetus was in wrong position and was dangerous. Ccb-Yu gave him money and asked him to hide this matter.
Hong-Mou leaved capital and saved Legal Counsellor Chow from drowning. Chow referenced Hong-Mou and Chan-Song to work in the Palace in order to repay them.

On-Seen and Enunch”Cheong-Weng-Lok” were good frens. Knowing On-Seen will be leaving Palace soon, made longetivity-baos for her. Hong-Mou and Chan-Song worked in the Palace and noticed the many rules and restrictions in there. Chan-Song don’t like to work there, but Hong-Mou think this is a good stepping stone for him. After Dr.SBY helps, Ccb-Yu baby moved back to position. Man-Tin tried to bride Dr-SBY but Dr-SBY only accepted the expensive medicine, showing Ccb-Yu firm standing status.
Dr. SCW was actually father of Dr. SBY, but due to the death of SBY’s mother, they were not in good relationship.
Yi-Shon used tactics to gain the trust of Yoke-Yin. The Chosen Ones were invited to attend a banquet in the Palace. The Girls tried to flatter Ccb-Yu by getting information of what Ccb-Yu was wearing. Yi-Shon tricked Yoke-Yin to wear clothing of the same color with Ccb-Yu and was noticed by On-Seen. But Yoke-Yin does not listen to On-Seen warning. Ccb-Yu suddenly changed to wear red like the empress to show her firm and high status. Yoke-Yin then return to scold On-Seen for trying to hurt her relationship with Yi-Shon. |
