Unfortunately I must say that money can buy that extra bit of consistency. In fact money, in the case of professional football, does make a difference even though it may not be exactly proportionately.
Until recently when the yanks bought the club, Liverpool was like a family/community club. Moores was the largest shareholder and I don't think he made alot of money. That's why the commercial strength of Liverpool cannot match that of ManUre. They used to have Peter Kenyon who I think is an astute businessman. He is, of course, now working for the Russian billionaire. I think ManUre is still run by management and marketing professionals and, of course, it helps being the traditionalists' favourite club!
As for Rick Parry ... well, you know what they say when you pay peanuts!
By the way Reds fans, our thread has surpassed the 1,000 mark which is more than double the nearest popular thread. I noticed the ManUre thread only has about 10% of the number of posts we have.
Guess which is the favourite club in Singapore/Malaysia/Thailand? and which supporters show the greater interest?
YNWA!
