put to sleep means get the subject(human or animals) to sleep permanently....
i think it s the pet owners' fault....
normally adopt or buy pets becos they r so cute as babies etc etc....
they 4gotten tat the pets need attention...
they need to eat and sleep and they fall sick too....
they can pee n shit....
somethimes vomit or even haf mood swings....
and they wont stay cute forever as babies...
YES, THEY WILL GROW UP AND AGE TOO....
THEY R NOT SOFT TOYS....
