At Papong, I was quoted 1200 baht for a leather belt and 600 baht for a single polo shirt.
After bargaining for awhile, I got the belt for 200 baht and 2 polo shirts for 500 baht. So remember to bargain.
You do not need to learn a few simple Thai phrases, they will still know that you are a tourist. So remember to slash at least 40 to 70% of their offer price, offer them what you think is reasonable.
