Hammies sleep in the day, its only at nite then they will be active. depending on each individual hammie you hv, i had mine waking up at 8pm, while other hammies do wake at 12am/1am etc etc.
Hammies are not active in the day 'cos its like nite time to them. Its only at nite then you'll find them super active. Hope this helps ^^  My Website :
