 Cheap buffet leads to crazy crowds
Food-crazy Singaporeans turned up in throngs just to make use of York Hotel's specially priced Penang Hawkers buffet promotion on Monday 18 December and WJ Lim was one of those who turned up.
WJ said:
" I recently went to the York Hotel for its lunch buffet to find a crowd there. It took me more than an hour before I could get a table and by the time I got to eat, It was more than two hours. The crowd was due to their anniversary promotion of $10 off.
S, 29, was there as well, as it was her off-day, and was shocked to see a huge queue lined up outside the cafe. After waiting for about 10 minutes, she gave up when she saw there were "awfully long lines of people inside the cafe itself."
