FYI, FOREX is not the most risky when compared to Stocks n Shares, pls dun mislead fresh young minds here thank you
For the simple reason that FOREX markets are affected largely by macro-factors (those who study economics will understand) and too difficult to manipulate by a single human or corporation, like those stocks n shares, which UT is linked to. Macro-factors can be on a country level, eg the USA's GDP or on the coporate level, the central bank did some interest rate cut etc etc.
Furthermore, u only need to monitor n concentrate on 2 - 4 pairs of currencies (or countries) in FOREX, not like UT n Shares got hundreds n thousands to choose n research n monitor.
Why FOREX is considered "risky" is becoz of the leverage given up to 1:400 for some investment companies.
But if u are discipline n meticulous investor, u will find FOREX has a lot to offer.
If not, u stand to lose alot! Coz u play with 400 times your original capital !!
This is how risky n how leverage can kill or profit.
FOREX used to be an art, reserved only for govt boards, banks n companies, a closed game for the rich.
I'm still an apprentice when it comes to FOREX.
My advice, not for those risk-averse and definitely not for anyone (rich people only)
But u are right about UT as a source of income generator, but definitely not stable.
Performing funds, can expect 6mths to 1yr time-frame to profit, these funds are usually very high-risk funds fluctuating +/- 20%
Do not expect to profit within 1 mth, unless the market is a bull-trend, how I wish !
Also dun invest in these funds if u cannot tolerate 20% loss
