Her last name is Pempengco, I'm almost sure she has part chinese blood flowing in her veins coz of her facial features and good complexion. A lot of the early chinese immigrants in the Philippines sort of altered their last names to make it more christianized during the spanish occupation but retained a portion of it to indicate their heritage. Like our ex-President Corazon Aquino whose middle name is Cojuangco. Her daughter, Kris whose a celebrity in her own right later traced their lineage in China and found out their early descendants were from the Koh family. I would guess Charice's ancestors were either from the Peng or Koh family in China. Is Koh a common last name in Singapore?
