CATONSVILLE, Md. -- Baltimore County police said an officer shot a 24-year-old man who used pepper spray on his partner, then ran at them with a machete.
The incident happened Saturday night in Catonsville. Police spokesman Cpl. Michael Hill said the officers responded to a report of domestic violence when the man answered the door and used pepper spray, incapacitating one of the officers.
Hill said the officers retreated onto the balcony of the man's home. At that point, he charged them with a machete, and the officer who hadn't been pepper-sprayed opened fire
The man was hit once in the upper body and taken to St. Agnes Hospital. Hill did not know his condition
