NOTE.

the drop marble thingy is not caused by your neighbours,
i dont think any idiot will still play around with marbles in the middle of the night,
in the middle of the day or what,

it is the structure of our HDBs, i cant exactly remember,
but it is the space in between units, and dunoe what, that caused the sound.

definately not marbles! This is what i go from another forum, similar explaination, something lidat.

"building are make of cement concrete, sand, granite, clay and some other miscellanous material. As a tropical country near the equator, we experience much more heat gain and heat loss than any other countries like thailand and japan..

as you learned science in lower primary, there are expansion and contraction due to heat gain and heat loss, same goes to a building...

especially when you say marble,do you know that the interaction sound of the marble is as similar to the interaction sound of the granite..inside the building there are granite to hold the hardened cement mixture stronger (that's wat i had learned in my course of study now...)..without it,the building is not strong and would be in danger of collapse easily as year goes by..

if you notice, granite absorb heat easily and the emit heat easily..yet the have slight expansion and contraction..the other stuff like sand and hardened cement mixture with also absorb and emit heat..thus causing some sound to be produced...so that's y you hear sound within building...

(*should there b any building expertise here, pls help me elaborate..I have limited knowledge and that's all I can provide to clear away doubts on huanted building where it is just mere expansion and contraction)"

SG FTW!
