Actually to be a good tutor, there are a few skills to master.
1. Understanding your tutee's style of learning
2. Inspiration and movitational skills
3. How to write and plan a good lesson plan
4. How to structure homework and choose practice questions according to
tutee's ability
5. How to structure your lesson playing by ear according to tutee's state of
mind & emotion during the lesson
6. Be clear on how you deliver your lessons and flow of the lessons to your
tutee(s) so that he/she/they can follow what you're doing.
This is my experience from 2 years of giving private tuition. Whether it's 1-1 or a group tuition, the above applies. and what is also important is that your level of proficiency of that subject must be at least 1 level higher than the tutee, meaning you must have an A level to tutor an N or O level student. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
