In order to further promote Jay Chou’s new single off his new album “Listen to Mama’s Words”, Alfa Music released more pictures of Jay’s childhood photos two days ago to the media, including the one seen towards the MV with Jay’s mom, Ye Hui Mei, hugging a very young Pres Chou. In the song “Listen to Mama’s Words”, the lyrics expressed how much Pres Chou appreciates her mother’s love, and because he managed to sing out every emotion of his mom’s heart, Ye Hui Mei was moved to tears when she first heard the song before anyone else.
In the MV for the single “Listen to Mama’s Words”, Pres Chou invited a very young boy to share the limelight in front of the camera. The setting of the MV takes place in a world filled with toys, Pres Chou was ‘talking’ to his younger self through his lyrics. He initially wanted to invite his mom onto the set, but because Zhou Mama was too shy, the idea was scrapped. When Zhou Mama first heard the song written for her by her son, singing with a very relaxed manner and watching the MV filled with Pres Chou’s heart-felt thanks, she teared uncontrollably.
