erm...isnt head pin where the pocket is?if u dun hit the pocket and hit head pin directly at the center,chances of getting splits are high...and when u have split its definitley not 9pin already....
in bowling sorry to say if hitting the pocket is not a must,why is everybody workng so hard to get the ball into the pocket?
be it a normal game or 9pin tap or 8 pin tap,being able to send the ball into the pocket will definitely have its advantages or rather i should say its the right way to go cos its a series of pins hitting pins as the ball barges into the pocket that will cause a strike
for right handers its ball go into 1-3 pocket,1 will take out 2,4,7
3will take out 6,10,
ball go into pocket take out 5,
ball deflect take out 8,9
thats the perfect path of the ball in theory,in practical its affected by the speed of the ball,the oiling,the ball,the strength,the amt of revs and the angle used
messenger can be 1 or 3 depending on the power of the ball hitting the pocket pins and see if enough energy for the pin to bounce off the wall and richochet into the other direction
u see all the good bowlers in sg(we leave aside the national bowlers and pros),which bowler bowl well without hitting the pocket?
