Both cameras are pretty old models right?
For canon ixus cameras, the features are limited because it is meant to be a point-and-shoot. Night shots also pretty bad by my standards.
For the F31, I'm not sure how much different is it from the F30. My friend has the F30. Based on what I know, the F30 has the 'legendary' fujinon (spelling don't know right anot) lens in it. So the shots are actually pretty good and sharp.
