Yah... think so from personal experience & 1 of my colleague's case... both of them are similar incidents. What happened is that both of us signed similar contracts with the same recruitment agency, just that I joined the company later. During the interview with the recruitment agency, we signed a contract, which we weren't given a copy. :speechless: In that contract, there is a clause that states that we can't work for that same company after our contract ends for a period of six months.
Well... the Human Resource staff of the company that we are working for told us that the recruitment agency won't check on people after their contract ends, as they have too much work that are more important than checking up people to see if that particular clause is being broken. So, we did exactly what we were told: When our agent called us to double confirm the decision made, we told them that we weren't going to extend the contract, though in reality, we are extending our stay by signing a contract directly with the company.
In the end, nothing happens... life goes on as usual.

For me, the agency paid me only 2/3 of what the company was paying them. :disgust2:
& also, since that time I had just completed my A-Levels, with what I admit quite naive thinking of the working world, they duped me into believing that I don't need to contribute to CPF, but still receiving employer's CPF at the same time, for a month, since I'm still technically considered a student. That's wrong, pls refer to
