Totally not true, even you are not certified in swimming you can learn lifesaving. In order to be a lifeguard, you need to attend two stage. Prelim lifesaving 123 course, then standard lifeguard course- Bronze Medallion.
Once you got BM you can work as lifeguard and earn cool $7 to $15 per hour.
