First visit in Singapore must definitely go to Orchard Road. There's a wide range of items you can buy from there as there are many departmental stores. You may come across Far East Plaza, Lucky Plaza, Centrepoint, John Little, Orchard Point OG,.. all these places have a relatively reasonable priced items.

However, I must say, SGD$80 may not be enough if you really want to do a good shopping here. SGD$80 may be enough for food, but definitely not "shopping".

If you really want cheap stuffs (apparels, gadgets, etc), I suggest you go to Seiyu Bugis, Bugis Street/Village, Sim Lim Square, Funan Centre.

Places that I mentioned are basically town area. For more "seluded places", it will be Tampines Mall, Junction 8, Northpoint, Causeway Point, Jurong Point, Choa Chu Kang lot1, Bukit Panjang Plaza, etc. (Not that recommended)
