Heard from my friends that Acer sometimes give some problem when come to use the laptop although I have not tried Acer laptop myself... So I think the technology quality made by Acer may not be good but Acer is better than Dell cos Dell quality is the worst ever. My advice for you guys is
not to go for Dell. Avoid purchasing the laptop from Dell. I always had so many horrible and annoying problem with my Dell laptop that I had to sell it off at too low price as offered by the shop because the shop is not willing to pay very high price for useless Dell laptop. And Dell does not have customer service based in Singapore so it would be difficult as your laptop need to be sent back to Malaysia if it need major repair. Even Dell laptop is very cheapest, don't ever buy laptop from Dell. Period.
So I think you still can go for Acer if you are keen on Acer laptop or you are on tight budget. Acer is one of the cheapest so far.
