well the $$$ is from the common people aka,us,the shameful thing is not more $$ going to charity (beside the point the charity nowadays do not even have a good reputation esp NKF and that singapore youth council or something )but that it is $$$ taken from us unnecessary thru a increase in taxation when the economy is still not doing well that is pissing alot of people off.They claim the increase is to help the poor....that is wrapped logic already since the poor do have to pay this extra 2% GST while not getting any assurances that they will get help (we all know how difficult it is to get financial help from the govt now).Then they come up with this increase in salary,it is like a slap to the common people's face.
