Tom grabbed the rat and shouted to everyone on the road "I have a talking rat. He sings Jay's song!"
No one looked at him more then once. In fact everyone shunned him. "Sing rat sing". The rat pointed his nose in the air and ignored him.
Then someone tap his shoulder...
