Just been to Japan last Oct. Dont worry, Tokyo is easy to get around using their subway, just do some homework beforehand and you can save much unnecessary stress! Knowing 繁體字 helps greatly too! Dont expect too much help from the station staff as most dont understand English well.

100 Yen shop:

Cheaper than Daiso in Spore but be careful dont lug back the stuff you can already get from Daiso! E.g I bought a pair of Hello Kitty chopsticks at 100YEN, Spore selling $8.90 - Feels good to know I got a good bargain :biggrin4:
One thing still puzzling me is when I see a big big sign with the YEN dollar sign (background blue color), it turns out to be some sort of police station!?!! I thought it is a 100YEN shop *sheepish look*. Yet to find out what is it exactly..
