AN enormous trailer laden with heavy metal construction pipes was hurtling towards his car, and there was nothing the father could do to avoid it.
There was a car in front of his, waiting for the traffic lights to turn green.
When the trailer started to tip over, the father thought it was the end for him and his three young children, who were in the backseat of his Proton Saga.
The trailer landed right on top of the car, crushing it, reported China Press.
Amazingly, all four in the car escaped from the wreck unscathed.
The father, who drove the car, escaped with minor injuries. When he turned around to check on his children after the crash, he could see only his two sons.
He couldn't find his 4-year-old daughter.
He saw that one of his sons had a minor head injury.
Wasting no time, he carried his sons out of the car.
He said: 'I was very nervous and I didn't see my daughter at all.'
And just when he thought his daughter had surely been crushed, she po`pped her head out of the damaged car.
Said the father: 'She stuck her head out after her brothers got out of the car.
'It turned out that she was hiding on the floor of the car as she was quite small.
'That was maybe why she was unhurt.'
One of the man's sons had a minor head wound, while he was only slightly hurt.
The other two children were not hurt at all.
Four other cars were damaged when the heavy trailer overturned on its right side while making a left turn.
The incident happened in Kuala Lumpur at about 3.30pm yesterday.
The affected cars - which carried more than 10 people in all - were waiting at a road junction for the traffic lights to turn green.
It is believed the trailer was overloaded.
None of the other drivers and passengers were seriously hurt.
A large crowd formed at the accident site and many were seen taking pictures with their handphones.
The police arrived shortly to control the traffic.
Firemen drained the cars of petrol and diesel to avoid the possibility of an explosion.
