Actually, middle age women will play Magic, especially styles that require keeping track of multiple counters and tokens! Women have more multi-tasking ability than men, I think.
That's why when I play with ex-gfs, I headache. Their board so many creatures, I can't keep track. When I start killing lands, they get upset.
