We are talking abt a period of at least 6 months. The actual loss will be accomplished much earlier than that but we or rather you (are you?) are more interested in keeping the weight loss permanent. This is because when you just lost weight successfully, there is a very high chance of your weight heading north. Do not be lulled into a false sense of complacency as your weight is still fluctuating at this stage!
Your weight is governed by survival instincts. The body is especially inclined to think that you have just been subjected to severe physical emancipation and thus would resolve to "restore" your "lost" weight. In order to work against this, it is important that you bolster your metabolism rate for some buffer period in order to override this mechanism. Hence i recommend a tight regimen for 6 mths.
3X jog /wk (5km ea) work at 80% of your MHR
No snacking after 8pm
Avoid oily/fried food
MUST eat breakfast
can be done. i lost 21 kg over the course of 8 mths but my regimen was more than mentioned. haha
